As a dental health team we welcome you and the
opportunity to apply our care and skill to your child's total dental
needs. In knowing that our practice offers a new experience for you
and your child, we offer you the following information about our practice
and policies.
Financial Policy
Payment is requested at each appointment as
service is rendered and can be made by cash, check, MasterCard or Visa.
Insurance Our
office will file insurance as a courtesy for our patients of record. We
will accept payment for further treatment directly from your insurance
company, however, you will be asked to pay the deductible and non-covered
fees as treatment progresses. If our office has not received payment from
your insurance company within 60 days then you will be responsible for
your account. Please bring completed and signed insurance forms and/or
insurance card, so that we may file the insurance for you.
Emergency Visits
Our office will not accept
insurance for first time emergency visits, however, we will do everything
possible in helping you to receive reimbursement from your insurance
carrier.
Medicaid Our doctors are highly
trained in caring for patients with special needs. Therefore, our office
will accept Medicaid reimbursement for all children that are physically or
mentally challenged.
Custodial Parent The custodial parent will be responsible for payment
of charges. Our office will not be able to send statements to other
persons.
Orthodontics Accounts are
handled differently for our orthodontic patients. Payment plans are
individualized and discussed prior to beginning
treatment.
Infectious Disease
Control
When you
visit our office, you will observe the many measures practiced by the
doctors and staff to ensure your child's protection from contact with
bacteria and viruses. All hand pieces and dental instruments are steam
sterilized routinely. The use of masks, gloves, and protective eye wear
guard against cross-infection. Your child's overall health and well-being
will always be a top priority in our office.
Dental Emergencies and
Accidents
In the
event of a dental emergency please call our office as soon as
possible, and we will see your child immediately if needed. Children are
frequently subject to accidents. In order to accommodate an injured child,
our schedule may be delayed. Please accept our apologies ahead of time
should this occur during your appointment time. With understanding that we
will do exactly the same if your child is ever in need of emergency care.
